Simon Vaughan Johnson the CEO of HSBC Bank Malta and Chairperson of the HSBC Malta Foundation, recently visited Il-Hagar Museum, in Victoria Gozo where an exhibition of the works by Emvin Cremona is being held.
Cremona is regarded as one of the leading Maltese artists of the 20th century and the exhibition contains.impressive examples of religious, portrait, abstract and philatelic works and designs – some of which have never been on public display before.
The exhibition has received strong support from both private collectors and entities. This is the second time that HSBC Malta has lent artworks by Maltese artists from its collection, with a total of 11 paintings/drawings by the renowned artist.
HSBC Malta said that, “we are very proud of this contribution towards our local heritage.”
The exhibition remains open to the public until the 28th of August, during the normal opening hours of 9am to 5pm seven days a week.
