HSBC Bank Malta,Victoria Branch recently made a donation of EUR 400 to the Gozo College Agius de Soldanis Girls’ Junior Lyceum and Secondary School library, towards the purchase of new books for the lending section.
The books bought – over 70 – include new titles by the students’ favourite authors including Meg Cabot, Jacqueline Wilson, Malorie Blackman and Diana Wynne Jones.
These books will further complement the wide selection of books available in the school library which are greatly sought after by the students.
The photo shows the Head of School Maria Assunta Attard, receiving the donation from Mr Paul Curmi (HSBC Manager) at the school library. In the background one can see posters and bookmarks produced for a competition organised by the School Teacher Librarians. This art competition formed part of a wider series of talks and events organised during the Library Week.
