Triq Birbuba and Triq ta ‘Sdieri in Gharb have been repaired and tarmacked, with a total investment of more than €370,000, the Ministry for Gozo has said.
After the services were changed, Triq Birbuba, which is 2,190 square metres, was repaired and tarmac was laid at a cost of €206,113. Triq ta ‘Sdieri was paved, a walk-in culvert was built for the lighting service and the sewerage and water main service was reopened. In addition, the side walls of the road were rebuilt. The 302.4 square metre road was tarmacked and completed at a cost of €165,200.
Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, said that “the construction and improvement of roads in Gozo will remain a priority. In terms of arterial and residential road construction projects this year in Gozo, by September about 34,000 square metres of new roads had already been completed.”
