The number of new Covid-19 cases has shot up with 386 having been found overnight, the second highest number of daily cases since the pandemic started in Malta. The highest was 510 [1], reported on the 10th of March this year
The number of Covid patients requiring treatment in hospital is 40 including 5 in ITU.
Authorities said that there were 71 new recoveries recorded in the past 24 hours, this now takes the number of active cases up to 2,505.
There have been 471 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Health Authorities said that the number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 175,395.
