A 65-year old man has passed away during the last 24-hours while Covid positive, Authorities have said.
1,147 new Covid-19 cases have been found overnight and 285 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo to up over 14,000 at 14,121.
The number of patients requiring treatment in hospital has risen with 124 Covid patients in Mater Dei Hospital (which is the only one being reported) including 5 who are in ITU.
Authorities said there have been 480 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 236,942.
