Four women aged, 70, 77, 82 and 92, and a 77-year old man have passed away in the last 24 hours while Covid-19 positive, authorities have said.
There were 342 new Covid-19 cases found overnight and 548 recoveries, which now takes the number of active cases in Malta and Gozo down to 8,970.
There are 102 patients requiring treatment in Mater Dei Hospital (which is the only hospital being reported) including 8 who are in ITU.
Authorities said there have been 514 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
The number of booster doses administered up until yesterday is 313,060.
