Prime Minister Robert Abela announced on Sunday morning that Malta will be going to the polls on Saturday, the 26th of March.
The much anticipated announcement of the General Election with the theme -Malta Flimkien (Malta Together) was made during an address by Abela at a political activity, held on the Granaries in Valletta.
The Prime Minister, addressing the party faithful, stated that the time had come for the people to decide “whether they would continue moving forward, or to go back to the past.”
The Prime Minister said that he would be advising President George Vella shortly in order to dissolve Parliament tomorrow.
