The National Blood Transfusion Service gives thanks to the 15 people who called to donate blood on Tuesday at the Xewkija Clinic in Gozo.
Meanwhile the Service continues to encourage healthy people to please come forward and donate blood for the benefit of the sick and inured, whose lives depend on blood transfusions
The Service has said that the next session is on Sunday, the 5th of June from 8am to 1pm (last registration 1pm) this will be followed by another on Tuesday, the 14th of June from 10.30am to 5pm – World Blood Donor Day: Giving blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save people’s lives.
“As always, your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated and please encourage others to donate if possible.”
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service
The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
Those who tested positive for Covid will be able to donate blood two weeks after the end of quarantine.
