MaltaPost has issued a new stamp to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
On the 6th of February, when the Queen reached 70 years on the throne, she became the first British monarch ever to make it to a Platinum Jubilee.
She had already broken the record of the longest-reigning British monarch back in September 2015 when she overtook Queen Victoria who had reigned for 63 years and 216 days.
The stamp within the miniature sheet measures 31.77mm x 41mm, with a comb perforation of 13.77 x 13.66 x (comb) and bears the Maltese Cross watermark.
The miniature sheet itself measures 80mm x 120mm and was produced in the offset process by Printex Ltd.
The issue, designed by Printex Ltd, consists of 20,000 miniature sheets with each sheet bearing a value of €5. 00
