An application for three gates to redirect a passageway to Hondoq, which has been used for a long time by Qala residents, has been withdrawn by the applicant during this week’s Planning Authority hearing.
The area was at Dahla Tal-Mintuff, which is ODZ and the application from a Brian Restall, was for the installation of three timber gates to “limit trespassing.” Also to “restore the existing dilapidated rubble walls and delineate a passage way by means of a hedge.” The Case Office had recommended it for refusal.
Qala Mayor Paul Buttigieg, thanked lawyer Dr.Claire Bonello, Perit Godwin Sultana and a notary hired by the Qala Local Council, who, he said, all worked him on this case “to protect Qala residents’ rights.”
