Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon

The Royal family has announced in a statement this evening that The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

The Royal Family concluded that The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.

The Queen aged 96, was Britain’s longest-reigning monarch. 2022 was her Platinum Jubilee year marking 70-years on the throne
