In line with its commitment towards the promotion of local art and culture, Bank of Valletta have announced that they have supported this year’s edition of the Victoria International Arts Festival, a five week long art extravaganza held in June.
The 12th edition of the festival included a selection of top performers from the UK, Italy, France, Norway, Holland, Germany, Ukraine, Finland, Czech Republic, Austria, and Syria, together with some of Malta’s finest artists.
The Bank’s sponsorship was presented by Jack Thewma, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Gozo Branch to Prof George J. Frendo, organiser and co-coordinator of the festival.
The Victoria International Arts Festival was first held in 1997 by the Laudate Pueri Choir of St George’s basilica and has now become a much sought after event in the cultural calendar of the Maltese Islands.
