A 29-year old man from Xewkija, Gozo was grievously injured in a collision between a tractor and a car in Gharb on Friday morning.

Police said the accident happened in Triq l-Gharb at around 7.00am, when there was collision between a Toyota Auris being driven by a 47-year old woman from San Lawrenz and a tractor driven by the victim.

The man was given first aid by a medical team at the scene before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was certified to have sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
