This year’s Ghajnsielem Christmas tree was inaugurated and lit during a festive evening ceremony on Thursday to mark the official start of Christmas activities in the village.

The beautifully lit tree is made from 4500 glass bottles. Also on display in the square were for the first time, two new chandeliers made from bottles.

Baritone Charles Buttigieg and Albert Lauren Agius animated the event which included traditional Christmas food, music and fireworks.
