For the 6th consecutive year, thanks to an initiative by Europe Direct Gozo to promote the Europe Green Deal and Sustainable Development Goals in schools in Gozo, EkoSkola schools were asked to present their projects for the judges to decide a winner.

EkoSkola Malta said that with the support of Bank of Valletta all participating schools were awarded for the work they did in this regard.

The ceremony was held at the Gozo Ministry Hall and all eight judges agreed on the fact that it was really hard to choose the best among such great Initiatives.

EkoSkola congratulated all the participating schools: Gozo College Agius De Soldanis Middle School, GC Ninu Cremona Secondary School, Xewkija Primary School, Gozo College Sir Arturo Mercieca Primary School Victoria, St Theresa School Kercem, Laura Vicuna School, and St Francis Primary School Victoria.

The 1st prize, €500 sponsored by Bank of Valletta, was presented to GC Kan Agius de Soldanis Middle School for their project Green Act.

Each of the other schools were awarded €100 by Europe Direct Gozo to start off new projects on the same lines… plans for this school year’s project.

EkoSkola Malta congratulated all the EkoSkola committees and persons in charge.
