The Gozo airfield of 1943 is the subject of an upcoming lecture by Charles Bezzina, at Il-Hagar Museum in Gozo.
He will be discussing “enthusiastically” why it was considered necessary to construct two runways on Gozo by mid-June 1943 – and to have them completed in just fifteen days.
Charles Bezzina, a well-known researcher about Gozo during World War II, has published over twenty books – including award winners.
A retired banker, Bezzina is an established poet involved in literary societies, as well as the Imperial War Museum.
This will be the first lecture at Il-Hagar for 2023 – the tenth anniversary of its inauguration and will be delivered in English.
The date to keep free is Saturday, the 28th of January, starting at 11am. Attendance is free of charge.
