Youths4Youths tenth edition took place on Thursday, organised by the OASI Foundation in collaboration with HSBC Foundation.

17 young participants joined this event whose ages ranged from 8-12. Youths had an “edutainment” tour around the Citadel providing insight into the history and exploring more about the place.

The youths visited the Citadel Visitors Centre, the Old Prison, the Gozo Nature Museum, and The Gozo Museum of Archaeology.

Back at OASI, a session was delivered by Nature Trust. This consisted of very insightful information presented by Ms Ramona Mercieca. The children engaged and asked many questions, which were all answered.

The OASI Foundation said that its main focus is the overall well-being of citizens in Malta and Gozo.

The Foundation stressed that “keeping children healthy and exposing them to healthy activities through nonformal edutainment events such as todays, is crucial for development. Such exposure is directly linked to better mental health, to relax, improve self-confidence and socialise.”

OASI expressed its thanks to the HSBC Malta Foundation for its sponsorship over the years, “as without its help, such an activity would not be possible.”

It also thanked all those who supported this event and joined with them, as well as to the volunteers, “because without their help the event wouldn’t have been possible.”
