The Gozo Regional Council is currently involved in crafting the Bid Book for the European Region of Gastronomy 2026, and it is calling upon the public for their invaluable assistance.

The GRC officially applied in April this year for the European Gastronomical Region for 2026, to promote Gozo as a destination for food lovers alike.

GRC explained that it is issuing an open call for photos and is on the hunt for captivating photographs that vividly depict our Gozo’s gastronomic identity.

“We’re not just interested in images of delectable dishes and beverages; we’re also eager to see snapshots that delve into the heart of our culinary scene, featuring farmers, fishermen, talented chefs, and people relishing the rich blend of food and culture,” said the GRC.

The Gozo Regional Council said it would welcome anything related to gastronomy: produce, processed products, traditional dishes and food, Gozitan landscape, food and feasts, traditional events involving food, and even gastronomy festivals.
