Two cheques totalling €1,700 have been presented to Carmelo Camilleri, on behalf of Puttinu Cares.
The first cheque of €1,360, consisted of grants from the workers within the Directorate for Cultural Heritage (Head Office, Cittadella Administration Office, Events Unit, Culture Unit, Cittadella Cultural Centre and Restoration Unit), as well as from the workers of the Gozo Court and those with Heritage Malta stationed at the Citadel.
The second cheque was for €340, which was collected by returning plastic bottles left behind by tourists and workers.
Both collections were made with the initiative and efforts of Cultural Heritage Directorate employee – Nancy.
The Cultural Heritage Directorate expressed its thanks to those who contributed and to the volunteers of Puttinu Cares.
