The Inter Supporters Club of Gozo organised their annual tour as a club to Milan to attend another game from the Champions League, this year against Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
The club said that this was part of another memorable and successful experience for the Inter Supporters Gozitan members, who not only supported their boys against the Madrilenians but also three members Joseph Xerri, James Vella and Alan Joe Mifsud had the good fortune and the wonderful experience of being among the flag bearers before the match.
“Their beloved team Inter played this match from the round of 16 and that they won 1-0 with goal in the 79th minute by Marko Arnautovic,” said the Supporters Club.
Apart from their presence in Stadio San Siro, the entire group of more than 25 fans took the opportunity to visit other places of interest not only in Milan but also in Lecco and Bergamo.
During the year the club said that it is “active in acquiring many tickets for its member supporters for matches played by Inter, doing this without any additional costs and remain the only ones in this regard.”
In a comment made by Joe Bajada, the President of Inter Club Gozo (Malta), he said that on behalf of the Committee, he would like to thank everyone for another successful Tour for an Inter match with the Champions League.
“Above all, I express my sincere thanks to Alvin Grech and Shaun Attard, Secretary and Treasurer respectively of the same club for their great and invaluable work,” he said.
Bajada also congratulated everyone “who attended the company and the continuous support, as well as your appreciation to the Committee for this opportunity.” He added that “we were a true Interista united family. Inter Club Gozo is a small club but with a very big heart that works for the good of our members.”
While he promised that as a club they will continue to work for more similar experiences, he encouraged the Gozitan Inter fans to visit the Club, which as they all know is always open to following Inter together during each of their games, now, especially for the return match on Wednesday, the 13th of March, when they will organise an “interesting activity as a reunion.”
