The Zebbug Local Council in Gozo has said in a statement that although it falls under the boundaries of Zebbug, no Authority had requested a consultation regarding the permit issued by the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) covering the uprooting of 100 trees in Triq ir-Rabat.

The Local Council went on to say that the only decision it had made in this regard was during a meeting held last Wednesday, when the Council said that it “did not agree with the decision made by the ERA and will be is formally sending notice of this to the same Authority.”
