Rangers from the Malta Ranger Unit in Gozo spotted a construction in Dwejra, Gozo, which they said is “seemingly without application/permit and without enforcement notice on the Planning Authority’s Geoserver.
The Rangers said that the construction is seen with several solar panels, entrance door, back garden and several CCTV cameras surrounding it.
“Whilst other illegal buildings from decades ago were questionably sanctioned and nowadays are legal, we urge the Planning Authority to swiftly act on this new construction,” said the MRU.
It went on to say that the construction “is within the Bird Sanctuary of Il-Qawra, G?awdex (as per SL549.42) and also within Natura2000 of MT0000019. New construction should be condemned fully.”
A report has been filed by MRU Rangers. It added that “anyone having more information may report to us anonymously or directly to Planning Authority and state report number CM600/24.”
