Sedqua Malta has launched its Buzz Naturali Social Media Campaign for which the agency said it has collaborated with a number of Maltese influencers to highlight the importance of enjoying life without the use of substances.
Sedqa stressed that “we can get natural highs when we do activities that we love and that are still good for us.”
The ‘Natural Buzz’ Campaign is intended to convey a clear message about the importance of a person having fun without the need for substances that change behaviour and emotions for a short time, but increase the individual’s problem with that time when the substance stops working. ?
This campaign, which will be spread over the next two months, is being advertised by a number of local influencers who are taking part in short clips that will be uploaded on Sedqa Malta’s social media.
Minister for Social Policy and Children’s Rights, Michael Falzon, present at the launch, said that through this campaign awareness about addictions is being increased so that as much as possible ‘ the number of people addicted to drugs will decrease.

I concure, yet I wish that the right terminology should be used for easier comprehision. All drugs are substances but not all substances are drugs.
I have spoken many times that primarily ‘Natural Buzz’ is implemented, brainwashed, formed in character, from 0 age till 7 years old. That is why I love Lelio Spiteri in creating ‘The Happy School’.
Then I often find myself feel nostalgic for the outings, picnics, that the factory used to organise for the families of the workers. The parish Priest used to take the whole parish for a day out after the village fiesta. We had fun falling in the Sack Race, egg on spoon, our parents losing a shoe in football, and sharing news on face reality not face book.
How can we go to a natural Buzz when we experienced our formation years (first 7 years) carrying the crown of thorns for hours and hours in our Good Friday procession! All that sad music, statues portraying pain and suffering. How do you expect us to have a natural Buzz when we spend hours and hours in our confined crib watching on a big screen all those strange people fighting and killing each other in Chinese Animation? Then you bought me a PlayStation, a mobile as a pacifier. Very artificial Buzz.
Well I don’t blame you World, giving me technology made me lazy and if I learn that inhaling, drinking or swallowing a substance is going to make me feel (as you say ‘high’) I have not been given any tools not to take this short and easy way!
In Peru the best men I found were ex-Salisians and ex-scouts. They had integrity which they learned from Don Bosco and the Scouts.
Teach, or better still ‘Form’ our toddlers in a happy (high) experience, let it print and become part of their character so when they grow up and search for Natural Buzz, they will easily find it.
But who am I with no PhD?
