Premier League footballer Antoine Semenyo, of Bournemouth FC, recently took a break from his busy schedule ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers training camp in Ghana by visiting the island of Gozo.

He explained that the trip served as a period of rejuvenation and reflection following a personally rewarding season and a historic performance by his club.

Known for his dedication to giving back to the community, Semenyo made the most of his time in Gozo by engaging with local youth players. Accompanied by his brother Jai Semenyo, he joined the Gozo Youth Team for a light kick around, ran drills, and spent quality time with aspiring young athletes.

Semenyo’s visit also provided the opportunity to connect with the local football community, including the Gozo FA player of the year, goalkeeper Steve Sultana.

Reflecting on his time in Gozo, Semenyo expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he received and the chance to interact with passionate football enthusiasts.

He said that the experience not only offered a well-deserved break, ”but also my commitment to inspiring and supporting the next generation of athletes.”
