Gozo Food Festival Special Edition this weekend in Xewkija SquareThe Gozo Food Festival returns to Xewkija this weekend in a 6th Special Edition of the Malta International Food Festival.

More than 15,000 visitors were at the 2-day event last year.

Visitors will have the opportunity to taste different flavours including Asian, quality Mediterranean delights, best of Europe, South America and genuine Gozitan delicacies.

This year the organisers said that they are focusing more on versatility, with over 100 different dishes from around the world being served by many participants.

There will be brewery stands and special wines available for a tasting experience, all accompanied by a special set of live musicians on both evenings.

Not forgetting dessert lovers, there will be an overwhelming choice of Gozitan sweets and home-made ice creams, to name just a few.

There will also be a special area dedicated for children, complete with appropriate food, games and attractions.

Entrance to the food festival is free of charge – the organisers said that patrons need to purchase tokens and redeem for any of the prepared dishes that they would like to try.

The Festival is taking place on Friday and Saturday, the 12th and 13th of July, from 6pm both evenings in the main square.

Malta Public Transport will be operating a shuttle service from Mgarr Ferry Terminal to Xewkija Square.

The Gozo Special Edition is organised with the support of the Ministry for Gozo and Planning, EcoGozo and the Xewkija Local Council.
