The housing market activity in Gozo continues to slow with a drop on the previous year’s figures seen in December as the island once again registered the second lowest number of final deeds of sale out of all the districts, at 146.

Data from the National Statistics Office released today revealed that promise of sale agreements also saw a sharp drop in December with only 92 registered, this was down by 30 on November and by a whopping 86 on December 2023.

Data released today show that 146 final deeds of sale on residential property were registered in Gozo during December, this was up by 28 on November, but down by 23 on December 2023.

In the cluster of localities made up of Fontana, Gharb, Ghasri, Kercem, Munxar, Victoria, San Lawrenz, Sannat and Zebbug, there were 70 final deeds of sale, this was up by 11 on November, but down by 28 on December 2023.

While in the cluster of localities of Ghajnsielem and Comino, Nadur, Qala, Xaghra and Xewkija there were 76, this was up by 17 on November and by 5 on December 2023.

Promise of sale agreements in the Gozo and Comino District were also once again the second lowest out of all districts at 92, down by 30 agreements on November, and by 86 on December 2023.

In the cluster of localities made up of Fontana, Gharb, Ghasri, Kercem, Munxar, Victoria, San Lawrenz, Sannat and Zebbug, the promise of sale agreements totalled 51, down by 17 from November, and by 39 on the same month in 2023.

While in the cluster of localities of Ghajnsielem and Comino, Nadur, Qala, Xaghra and Xewkija, the figure was 41, down by 13 on November, and by 47 on December 2023.
