The Gozo Regional Development Authority (GRDA) has welcomed the Planning Authority’s approval of the Outline Development Permit for the regeneration of Pjazza l-Assedju ta’ Ghawdex into a multi-storey car park topped with an accessible green open space.

It said that this transformative project, proposed and coordinated by the GRDA as part of its long-term strategic vision for Victoria, now enters a new phase.The GRDA explained that in the coming weeks, the Authority will publish the Concession Tender, marking a key milestone on the path toward implementation.

“The initiative represents a significant step forward in addressing long-standing parking challenges in Gozo’s capital, while also reaffirming the GRDA’s commitment to sustainable urban development through the integration of green infrastructure that enhances the quality of life for residents and visitors alike,” said the Authority.
