Following yesterday’s receipt of nominations from Alex Borg and Adrian Delia for the post of Leader of the Nationalist Party, the PN Electoral Commission said that it has verified that the submitted nomination forms are correct.

The Commission confirmed that each nomination is signed by 118 members of the Nationalist Party drawn from the Party’s various organs and structures – as required by the PN Statute – and is therefore valid.

As stipulated by the Statute, each nomination carried the signatures of at least:

Three members of the Parliamentary Group, five members of the PN College of Local Councillors, ten members of the Executive Committee, fifty members of the General Council and fifty members of the Nationalist Party.

Accordingly, the Electoral Commission confirms that both nominations are valid and therefore Alex Borg and Adrian Delia are now officially candidates in this election.
