Bank of Valletta has supported the ‘Ghaqda Poeti Maltin’ in the production of a set of twenty bookmarks featuring original poems by a Maltese writer on each bookmark. The support offered by BOV falls in line with its commitment to foster education and promote local talent. This collaboration with the ‘Ghaqda Poeti Maltin’ in the Bookmark Project continues to consolidate Bank of Valletta as a leading patron of Maltese Art and Culture.

The Ghaqda Poeti Maltin was established in 1975 by Mons Dr Amante Buontempo JUD with the aim of creating more awareness about Maltese poetry. This active society organises numerous events, including a monthly evening of poetry and music where poets recite their own works and discuss various aspects of poetry.The Society keeps in contact with its almost 100 members through a quarterly newsletter and its magazine called ‘Versi’ which is the only Maltese publication exclusive to poetry.
