On Friday afternoon, the Malta Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) coordinated a rescue in Gozo of a casualty who fell and sustained injuries on the cliffs and required immediate assistance near Blata tal-Majistral.
An Armed Forces of Malta helicopter was immediately dispatched to the area in order to conduct the rescue.
The AFM said that the patient was safely airlifted and handed over to a Gozo General Hospital medical team for further treatment.
The AFM expressed its gratitude to the Gozo General Hospital medical team and Civil Protection Malta for their assistance and collaboration during this operation.
