During a ceremony held at the Police General Headquarters, two Inspectors were appointed as Superintendents, while nineteen Constables were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

In his remarks, Commissioner Angelo Gafa congratulated all newly promoted officers, noting that the Malta Police continues to “strengthen its diversity, with 38% of those promoted being women.” This, he said, “reflects how women are playing an increasingly central role within the structures of the MPF.”

He also highlighted that Malta now ranks as the 7th country in the European Union with the highest proportion of women in policing.

Commissioner Gafa also referred to the launch of the Malta Police Corporate Strategy 2025-2030, marking a new phase in the MPF’s evolution – one in which the newly promoted officers will play a key role as protagonists of change and progress.
