?Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri together with the wife of the Prime Minister Lydia Abela yesterday attended the event “Gift with Love – A Melody of Generosity” which was held in Victoria, Gozo.

This initiative is in favour of vulnerable children so that they too can receive a gift as a result of the love of the Maltese and Gozitan people during Christmas.

The Gozo College Choir, Elodie Zammit, Angel Voices Choir, Sant’Antnin ta’ Padova Choir and Ilyas Ige Sultana also took part during the event, singing Christmas carols.

The Gozo Minister said that, “once again we have raised a Gift with Love from the island of Gozo, such a wonderful initiative that was actually started by Dr Lydia Abela and Giorgia Mae. An initiative that continues to bring joy to Maltese and Gozitan children. Therefore, I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart everyone who contributed so that all children have a gift this Christmas.”

Dr Lydia Abela stated that the Gift with Love initiative continues to grow year after year thanks to the generosity and compassion of the Maltese and Gozitan people.

She explained that this year this initiative continued to strengthen, as for the first time in Gozo, a Gift with Love with a Difference was also extended to animals, where she noted with satisfaction the active participation of students and schools which was crucial in keeping Jake Vella’s dream alive.

“I thank everyone who participated in this initiative, which continues to bring joy to vulnerable children at this Christmas time,” concluded Dr Lydia Abela.
