Nature Trust Malta said that next Saturday, March the 27th, at 8:30 pm local time, families in over 100 countries will turn off the lights on pollution and climate change. Families are using Earth Hour as a way to teach children the importance of conservation and how they can help save the planet. This is a global Campaign being organised by World Wildlife Fund (WWF). International. Nature Trust (Malta) as the privileged partner of WWF In Malta is also joining this campaign.

The Valletta Local Council has confirmed their participation in this symbolic Earth Hour. Nature Trust (Malta) has said that it is urging all families in Malta and Gozo, localities, Ministries and businesses to join this world wide campaign and reduce pollution by one hour.

The aim of this hour is to create a cleaner, safer, and more secure future. Show the children that being together can make a difference–for the country, the planet and the future. Anyone interested in participating is also kindly asked to inform Nature Trust (malta) who will be reporting the event in Malta to the WWF HQ
