New Executive Committee for KNZ includes four Gozitans

The new Executive Committee for the year 2010-2011 was elected during the Annual General Assembly of the National Youth Council (KNZ) held on the 20th March at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana.
The Council has eleven new members who have been elected for the first time, amongst them are four from Gozo.
The members of the Executive Committee are:
Edward Said, President;
Sean Meli, Secretary General;
Dirk Urpani, Assistant Secretary General;
Priscilla Muscat Public Relations Officer;
Rachel Cassar, Financial Officer;
Ylenia Caruana, International Officer;
Anson Aquilina, EU Officer;
Vivienne Bajjada, Liason for Public Entities Officer;
Thea Mizzi, National Events Officer;
Matthew Vella, Social and Public Policy Commisioner;
Ann Julene Spiteri, Commissioner for Youth Services;
Ryan Mercieca, Sectoral Committee Co-ordinator and
Michael Calleja, Sectoral Committee Officer.
In his first address at the AGA, the newly elected President from Gozo Edward Said thanked all youths who actively participated in the National Youth Council throughout the last year and previous years. He emphasied on the fact that the National Youth Council should reflect the divers opinions of the members, be a forum of dialogue for young people, and a representative body of young poeople’s interests. The composition of the members from different youth organisations who work together and their committment towords the Council are the key to efficiency and success stressed Mr. Said.
