The Friends of Australia Association – Gozo Branch (F.O.A.A.G.) has just organised the First Queen’s Birthday Event 2010.

This event attracted a good audience and consisted primarily of a public lecture delivered by Charlene Debrincat, B.A. (Hons.) History entitled, ‘Leaving the Gozitan Homeland.’

Afterwards, student Erika Dingli, of Xewkija, who attends the St Francis School in Victoria was awarded the National Award of Australia Competition organised by the F.O.A.A.G. amongst all schools in Malta and Gozo of which hundreds of students participated.

Dr Raymond C. Xerri, the Founding-President of the F.O.A.A.G., presented Ericka Dingli with the Certificate on behalf of the Association; he thanked Charlene Debrincat for her very informative lecture and finally delivered his speech for the occasion.
