The Malta Standards Authority (MSA0 has said that the product ‘LGT energy savers- 3 phase’ have been found to be non-compliant when tested against the applicable European Standards. Moreover, they have been found to pose a serious risk to consumers as they can cause electrocution or start fires.

MSA said it is advising consumers to refrain from using these products and to return them to the place of purchase. MSA is also warning economic operators that these products are being withdrawn from the market with immediate effect.

Action will be taken if these products are found on the market during inspections carried out by the MSA officials.
