Melita has said that their XL TV subscribers can tune in and watch same week broadcasts of WWE programmes and live events in glorious high-definition as shown in the USA on Melita’s new free sports channel, All Stars and Stars HD. This month, for the first time ever in Malta, wrestling fans will be able to watch the WWE event, WWE SummerSlam, on a live basis on Monday, the 16th of August at 3am.

The company said that all WWE Special starting with WWE SummerSlam events will also be broadcast in High Definition on Stars HD. Stars HD is available to all XL subscribers with the Melita Netbox HD. For all those fans who missed one of the WWE Special live events, Melita will also be broadcasting repeats the day after on Monday at 7:15PM on All Stars and Stars HD. Earlier this month, Melita launched their 5 new free sports channels, Malta Stars, Football Stars 1, Football Stars 2, All Stars and Stars HD. All Melita L and XL TV subscribers will be able to access Malta Stars for free with broadcasts of local sporting events such as Malta’s BOV Premier League, Malta football international games, water polo, rugby, handball, the popular programme Kick Off presented by Peter Paul Gauci and a new in-house production with daily sports news updates and more.

Melita went on to say that a new Premium package of 9 channels which will include an HD channel covering, amongst others all the UEFA Champions League games, more than 100 UEFA Europa League games, and a selection of Copa Libertadores, is being offered from €9.99 a month.

This is an Early Bird offer for all those subscribers who register by the 30th September 2010 and committing to a year of service. Thereafter, the season ticket price for the Premium Package will remain at €9.99 per month for Large and Extra Large TV subscribers and €12.99 for Medium subscribers, and all those opting for a month on month service, Melita said.
