Two local craft workshops will be holding open days at the end of this month, followed by one in December, to give everyone a chance to select those extra special Chtistmas gifts.

Prickly Pear Designs – Rachel Robinson’s, unique sterling silver jewellery, designed and handmade by Rachel in her workshop in Gharb. Also available at the workshop will be handmade cards, and fun costume jewellery. Rachel’s workshop can be found at 97 Sqaq l-Arcipriet, Gharb. Walk past the right hand side of the church and take the first alley to the right, then the left hand fork. For further information please see www.pricklypeargozo.com.Zig Zag Lines – Art in Metal by Jackie Roberts, where a selection of wall mounted creatures, masks and landscapes in copper and steel handcrafted by Jackie in her workshop in Ghasri can be viewed. Wearable art and funky stocking fillers will also be available. For further details please phone 79562753. Jackie’s workshop can be found at 1, Ghammar Street, Ghasri, on the village road to Ta Pinu.

Both workshops will be open to visitors on Saturday, the 27th of November, from 11am – 3pm and Sunday, the 5th of December from 11am – 3pm. There is no entrance fee and no obligation to buy, Everyone is warmly invited to go an have a look around.
