A 71-year old man from Xaghra was taken to Gozo General hosptial this morning in a critical condition, after sustaining head injuries from a fall.
It is understood that the man was helping relatives with work on a house when the incident took place.
The man has since been transferred to Mater Dei due to the seriousness of his injuries.
A enquiry into the incident is underway.
