The Chorus Urbanus and its soloists will be performing sacred music during Regina Martyrum, a concert that is to be held at Saint James Church, Victoria, on Friday, the 8th of April at 7.30pm.
The concert that is to precede the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows is being organised by the Gozo Cultural Council with the collaboration of Msgr George Bezzina, the rector of Saint James Church.
The evening will feature music by Mozart, Pergolesi, Bach, Rossini, Lotti, Kodaly, Galea, Bortniansky. The concert will come to a conclusion with a performance of the eponymous Miserere Mei by Gregorio Allegri.
The Chorus Urbanus will be conducted by Dr John Galea. Entrance is free, and everyone is warmly invited to attend.
