Last Saturday, the Prime Minister, Dr Lawrence Gonzi, visited the exhibition ‘Public Art in Gozo,’. which is currently open to the public at the Ministry’s Exhibition Hall, in Victoria.
The Exhibition features 120 maquettes from various Gozitan, Maltese and foreign artists residing in the Maltese islands. Those maquettes that are selected will be reproduced on a larger scale to embellish public places in Gozo for everyone to have the opportunity to enjoy these works of art.
The aim behind this call was to commission contemporary works of art which will turn Gozo into an open-air museum.
