Prime Minister announced this evening that as from the 1st of January there will be free travel on the Gozo Channel ferry service ”for all Gozitans and Maltese people crossing on foot.”

He added that this measure also extends to EU citizens and those who hold long-term resident status.

The Prime Minister stated that in doing this ”we are fulfilling another promise from the electoral manifesto.”

He made the announcement while addressing Parliament in response to the Leader of the Opposition’s speech on Monday evening.
