The Universal Church will be celebrating for the first time the Liturgical Feast of Blessed John Paul II, as announced by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI on the 1st of May 2011 during the Beatification ceremony at St. Peter’s Square, Vatican City.

The JP2 Foundation will be celebrating this event this coming Sunday, the 16th October 2011, with an agreement reached with the Public Broadcasting Services (TVM) by granting a live broadcast from Gozo of the Sunday Mass that is aired every week.

The Chorus Urbanus will animate this sacred liturgy. The mass starts at 9am and will be presided by Archpriest Can. Frankie Bajada and other members of the clergy. The homily will be delivered by Msgr. George Bezzina, the choir’s chaplain.
