The Lands Department has said in a statment that it “received no request from any third’party for the transfer of Government land in Hondoq ir-Rummien.”

The Lands Department response came following the statement from eight NGOs, Moviment Harsien Hondoq, Flimkien Ghal Ambjent Ahjar, Ramblers, Nature Trust, Wirt Ghawdex, Friends of the Earth, Din l-Art Helwa and the Gozo University Group.

The NGO’s had urgently requested that the public be informed as to whether any requests for the transfer of land at Hondoq Bay have been received by the Lands Department.
