The Managing Authority within the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs has announced that the Local Action Groups (LAG) under the LEADER Programme are re-issuing the Expression of Interest for Measure 125 of the Rural Development Programme for Malta (2007-2013).
The previous expression of interest initially closed on 2nd of December 2011. This extension is taking place following a change in the Selection Criteria.
From: Number of Full Time Farmers benefitting from the proposed project: Max 20 Points – 2 points for every Full Time Farmer
It will be amended to: Number of Full Time Farmers benefitting from the proposed project: Max 20 Points – 5 points for every Full Time Farmer
Potential beneficiaries who wish to improve access to farmers’ agricultural holdings by means of the upgrading of existing farm access roads and passageways are required to apply for this expression of interest.
Access roads and passageways must be located within the territories of the respective LAGs. Within this expression of interest, the applicants must identify the access roads and passageways for which they would like to apply under Measure 125, listed in order of preference.
Beneficiaries must provide site plans of the roads, photographs of the area where the exact location and area to be modernised will be indicated.
Local Councils which are members of the Local Action Groups (LAG) and legally constituted Farmers’ Groups and NGO’s can apply under this expression of interest with their respective LAG.
Applications can be submitted from Monday, the 9th of April 2012 until Friday, the 13th of April 2012. Applications must be submitted to the offices of the Local Action Groups depending on the location of the proposed access roads.
