The Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA) has responded this evening to a statement issued by Bird Life (Malta) today, “whereby it is stating that the Authority has not yet provided it with a daily breakdown of Carnet de Chasse figures for last autumn.”

MEPA said that it “notes that the daily figures have not yet been compiled and will be released on its website as soon as this information is available.”

In the meantime, MEPA said it “has published the total bag for autumn 2011: between 1st September 2011 to 31st January 2011, a total of 4,302 turtle doves and 6,281 quails were caught.”
