The Police have said this evening that a 35-year old man from Ghasri was taken to Gozo Hosptial earlier today following an incident involving a shotgun.

The man was seriously injured when he was hit in the face with shotgun pellets.

He told the police that he had been walking in an area close to the Ghajnsielem cemetery at around 1.30pm, when he said he heard a bang and then felt blood on his face.

The police investigations are ongoing.
