Four people have been arrested after heroin was found yesterday morning at a residence in in Xaghra. The amount found, led the Police to believe that it was intended to be used for trafficking on the island.

A 51-year old man, who was the owner of the residence was arrested, along with four other men aged between 31 and 53. These men were from Victoria, Gozo, Xaghra and San Julian’s. They were found in possession of heroin, cannabis resin and money.

Magistrate Paul Coppini Patrol was informed of the findings and appointed various experts to assist in the inquiry.
