The Gozo SPCA Rehoming Centre in Victoria rescued this young Border Collie last week He was picked up in a terrible condition last Friday evening from the Tac Cawla area of Victoria.
Colly, as he has been named, was extremely dirty, very thin and dehydrated. The volunteers at the Centre gave him peace and quiet, he just lay in his kennel and didn’t eat or drink for two days, the expression in his eyes telling giving an idea of what he had been through. Then on Monday he started to take some food and on Tuesday he finally stood up and started to eat and drink properly.
The Gozo SPCA said that it is going to take a long time before he is fully fit, but throughout his time at the Centre, even after all he had been through, he wagged his tail everytime somebody spoke to him or showed him attention. Now, with plenty of love, care and attention the Centre are sure he will pull through.
Colly deserves a fresh start to his life, a new home and somebody who will give him the loving care and attention he should have always had.
Colly will be available for homing as soon as the Centre think that he is ready to go, he can be reserved at any time. The Centre think that is about eight months old.
If there is anybody who thinks that they would like Colly as their pet and are able to offer him a loving home, or indeed any of the other animals at the Gozo SPCA centre, then please email on info@spca-gozo.org. You can also contact them on 21553769 and 99475199 or visit their website at: http://www.spca-gozo.org/.
