As in 2011, Gozo SPCA will be holding its flag week in two stages this year. During Santa Marija week the Association will be collecting in Gozo and from September 5th-11th, it will be collecting on the Gozo ferry.
Gozo SPCA are appealing for volunteers to help them man the collection tins in either, or if possible both, periods.
For the collection on land, tins and authorised collectors badges can be picked up from the centre this coming Saturday morning, the 12th of August between 9.00am and 10.30am.
For the collection on the ferries, the Association are still looking for volunteers for the ferries leaving Gozo at the shown times below.
Gozo SPCA said, “the Flag week is a vital part of our income, typically accounting for 25% of our annual income – without it we cannot continue to rescue and rehome as many animals as we currently do.”
